Her name is Kate Voegele. She is only 22 years old. If you watch One Tree Hill than you should know her. She plays as Mia. She is also a singer-songwriter and a musician. Her songs are really good. You should try to listen to some of her songs. If you have myspace, check out her out.
Now about her education that amazed me the most. She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio through spring of 2007 as a fine art and psychology major, leaving to focus on a music career afterwards. As of spring 2008, Voegele is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix (UOP) online while balancing her professional music career on the road touring. For the last two years juggling life as a full-time singer-songwriter, part-time actress and a college student, rarely pausing to take a breath.
She somehow scheduled her classes around recording sessions, and still got a 4.0 grade point average. Then she took a break from school and went on the road, but halfway through, she got offered One Tree Hill completely unexpectedly. That was when her life got ridiculous. Ridiculous in the sense that Voegele went from being a complete unknown to a TV star, and from a girl writing songs in her dorm room to a bonafide recording artist with legions of loyal fans, all in less than a year. Voegele is still pinching herself just to make sure it's really happening.
"Sometimes I look around and wonder what I’ve done to deserve all this," she says with a laugh in an interview.
Now her latest album named A Fine Mess was released in May 2009.
